Vay-castle is situated 180 km far from Budapest and 5 km far from Tiszacsege on the territory of the national park of Hortobágy; along the Tisza in the native oaken of Ohat in the settlement called Nagymajor. Nagymajor is regular quiet settlement with 80 hard-working inhabitants. The castle is on a hill in the middle of the park in the middle of the so-called bag-settlement. It is situiated 30 km far from the M3 motorway and 10 km far from the 33 highway. Tisza-lake, the puszta on Hortobágy and the fish ponds of Ohat are near to the castle. Debrecen, Hajdúszoboszló, Nyíregyháza, Miskolc and Eger are situated 60-70 km far from us.
